From Denise's Desk: Finding a Reason for the Season
Each month healthcare marketers are faced with the same situation: "What can we arm ourselves with this time to raise awareness for our company and services." In the case of home care and hospice, the answer may come in the form of a calendar and the special healthcare observances that occur nearly every month.
One of our most successful programs is a bi-monthly campaign that focuses on disease specific events such as National Heart Month, Diabetes Awareness Month and Alzheimer's Awareness Month. For each of the special observances that are most relevant to the services our clients provide, we've developed an educational flyer and related promotional item for distribution to the referral sources. The benefits are two-fold; they provide something unique for the liaison or account executive to help get past "the gatekeeper" and they position the client as a partner and resource. Along with these special marketing campaigns, we've also developed a full line of disease specific brochure templates for home care and hospice that the referral sources can distribute to their patients; which strengthens the partnership even more!
