Recruiting Strategies: Field Staff Recruitment Case Study
We've introduced the concept of our variable data recruiting campaigns before, but sometimes it helps to hear about a real-life example. Today we'll look at a successful variable data campaign, where our home care client was recruiting for multiple field staff positions.
As a refresher, variable data recruiting campaigns incorporate a personalized postcard and personalized website for each potential candidate. The concept stems from the fact that your audience has specific (and different) needs, wants, likes and dislikes. And while your agency may be exactly what the candidates are looking for, they won't realize it until you make a connection with them. You have to speak directly to your individual prospects, dissolve their fears and show them how your agency can personally benefit them. Variable data campaigns give you the opportunity to do that.
Of course, this all sounds great in theory, but what about results? Well, many of our clients will vouch for the astounding response! For example, one client campaign, which has been included in the PODi Best Practices in Digital Print case study collection greatly exceeded expectations. The campaign resulted in a 5% response rate (500% more than traditional home care recruitment methods), and saved our client $70,000 in recruiting costs compared to previous methods!
Since then, we've run many more recruiting campaigns and developed effective, custom designs for our clients that have even topped the results of that case study (click to view campaign examples: "Time of Your Life" and "Flexibility"). We've run campaigns that have cost as low as $92 per qualified applicant. Compare that to the cost of a print ad or outside recruiter!
