Sales Tip of the Week: Establish Your Personal Brand
It is very important when building relationships that you establish your own personal brand in your customer's eyes. Think of how we form and build friendships. We base them on things that we have in common and things that we like about others. Here are some tips to consider:
1) Let your personality shine
2) Have a signature trait or item that you are known for with referral sources
3) Constantly build your service style (i.e. going the extra mile)
4) Know their story - don't focus so much on yourself at the expense of getting to know them
5) Build your brand and build a bond by making it personal
Learn the little things that are important to your customers and then make your interactions personal. If you see an article that would appeal to them professionally or personally, cut it out, attach a sticky note to it and send it to them. Find out their interests and bring things to them that are in keeping with those interests. As you have heard from other successful AEs, find something that you can take with you that you become known for. Make it your trademark.
