Recruiting Spotlight: One-to-One - A new strategy for 2007: Part I
If you're like most Home Care and Hospice recruiting specialists, you're very experienced in the world of print advertisements, external recruiters and sign-on incentives. And like most agencies you're probably also dissatisfied with the results. You still find yourself in need of more and more field staff, with an ever-decreasing number of prospects. Why use the same, unsuccessful methods this year?
For 2007, we'd like you to think about a new strategy for your recruiting efforts. It's called One-to-One Recruiting, and it's all about personalization.
We'll start by challenging you with a new mindset (it will take a few weeks to fully introduce you to this strategy). Forget about mass advertising. Forget about headhunters and cold-calling recruiters. Instead, think about establishing a true connection. A connection that may lead to a relationship.
With recruiting, as with marketing, your audience (prospective field staff) has specific needs, wants, likes and dislikes. And while your agency may be exactly what they're looking for, they won't realize it until you make a connection with them. You have to speak directly to your individual prospects, dissolve their fears and show them how your agency can personally benefit them.
The first step is to define your audience. Are they young or old? Male or female? Experienced or inexperienced? Geographically close or spread out? Once you identify your broad audience, then you can begin to dig even deeper and craft messages and recruitment strategies to each individual.
This may seem like an awful lot of work. But it's extremely important, and that's why we're here. TAG Marketing and Recruiting has a One-to-One Recruitment solution that will bring you new recruits overnight. We'll explore just how over the next several weeks. Be on the lookout for next week's TAGline!
